Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 2026
This Policy explains what information Klipa collects, how we use it, and your choices. By using Klipa you agree to this Policy.
Information we collect
- Account data: your name and email address, and a securely hashed version of your password (we never store your password in plain text).
- Usage data: the prompts you submit, the scripts and videos generated, and your credit balance and plan.
- Technical data: basic logs needed to operate and secure the Service.
How we use it
- To generate your videos and operate your account and credits.
- To maintain, secure, and improve the Service.
- To communicate with you about your account when necessary.
Third-party providers
To create videos, the content you submit is sent to third-party processors, including OpenAI (script and voice), Pexels (stock footage), and Groq (caption timing). Your use is also subject to their privacy practices. We do not sell your personal information.
Connecting your YouTube account
If you choose to publish to YouTube, Klipa uses YouTube API Services. By connecting your channel you authorize Klipa to upload videos on your behalf using the youtube.upload permission. Your use of these features is also subject to the YouTube Terms of Service and the Google Privacy Policy.
- What we access: a secure authorization token (OAuth refresh token) scoped only to uploading videos. We do not read your existing videos, comments, analytics, subscribers, or any other channel data.
- How we use it: solely to upload the specific videos you create in Klipa to your own channel, only when you click Publish.
- What we store: only the authorization token, kept securely so you don't have to reconnect each time. We do not store your Google password.
Limited Use: Klipa's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements. We do not use Google user data for advertising, and we do not sell or transfer it to third parties except as needed to provide the publishing feature you requested.
Revoking access: you can disconnect YouTube any time from Klipa's Studio, or revoke Klipa's access directly in your Google Account permissions. Revoking access deletes the stored authorization token.
Cookies and local storage
We store a session token in your browser's local storage to keep you signed in. We do not use third-party advertising trackers.
Data retention
We keep account and generated content for as long as your account is active or as needed to operate the Service. During this early period, generated videos may be deleted on server restarts and should be downloaded if you wish to keep them.
Your choices
You can request access to or deletion of your account data by contacting us. Deleting your account removes your associated personal information, subject to legal retention requirements.
